Fostering and Homing Greyhounds in Cumbria and the South Lakes

This website covers all the Greyhounds coming to the branch from 1st January 2018. To see the 500+ Greyhounds homed between July 2004 and December 2017 visit

Coronavirus update:
During 'lockdown the branch is closed to all people visiting to view the dogs and volunteers helping to walk them etc.
Dogs here are at a minimum as they are now in short-term foster care until we are told we can start homing them again, this is to make room for any emergencies who arrive.
We are on standby, with a long list of people wishing to volunteer short term foster any greyhounds should their owner(s) become hospitalised and have no one to take care of their dog while they are away.  Should you find yourself in this predicament please contact us (015395 52394) for help.  If you know anyone who may find themselves in this predicament can you please tell them we are here should they need help with their dog(s).  We will come and collect the dog(s) in the animal ambulance using the government guidelines for animal welfare. Thank you.
