Sparkie

Sparkie came back to us on Friday 6th July 2018 following his owner's stroke.
He stayed with until his owner realised having him back wasn't an option.
Sparkie went to his new home on Friday 28th September 2018.

We homed Sparkie just over 12 months ago but he came back to the branch because his owner became too unwell to look after him.
Sparkie is a beautiful white and blue ex-racing greyhound who is house trained, neutered, inoculated and microchipped.  He walks lovely on the lead, travels well in a car and has a nice friendly nature.

Sparkie's Diary
28th June 2018
We called in this afternoon to see how Sparkie's owner was getting on in hospital and to ask what was happening to Sparkie.  He was currently in the Roundhill Kennels near Ulverston and would be there until the 6th July 2018 when a decision will be made about Sparkie dependent upon how well his owner was and what his relatives were doing.  His owner loves Sparkie and desperately wants him back.
6th July 2018
We received a phone call this morning asking if we could look after Sparkie for a short while until his owner could decide if he was healthy enough to have him back.  To avoid him staying in kennels any longer his owner's daughter brought him to us around lunch time and signed the Transfer of Ownership form in case his owner wasn't well enough to have him back.
20th July 2018
We are having a garden party over the weekend to celebrate Stuart and my 25th Wedding Anniversary so Anita one of our voluteers asked if she could have Sparkie for the weekend to reduce the number of dogs here we had to look after.  She called in this morning to collect him and take him home with her.
23rd July 2018
This morning Anita brought Sparkie back. Whether he was still feeling as if he was being passed around I don't know, but he hadnt been happy at Anita's, he'd been having accidents in the house, which is a sure sign he wasn't happy. Lets hope that by coming back he will settle again and it's something to bear in mind for the future.
